Laura Martin

I joined the Gencare team in 2019, bringing extensive experience as a finance and accounting professional, and industry expertise in real estate development, construction management, senior housing, and hospitality.

My career began in public accounting (PwC), and led to several leadership positions, including my role as Director of Corporate Accounting and Administration for Westin Hotels and Resorts, where I managed operational accounting and budgeting for the hotel management and marketing companies.

Relationships are what fuel my well-being! Friendships and my large extended fun-loving family are my wellspring of happiness. I love being connected to my community, I am an avid volunteer and have had the privilege of holding board positions on over twenty local non-profits, including arts organizations, food banks, and local low-income housing providers. I’m also a founding member of an award-winning comedic singing group that raises money for local charities.

Senior living is a fascinating and dynamic industry. We are continually focused on innovative ways to improve the enjoyment of life and quality of health for our residents and to support the front-line staff that serve them so well. It is immensely satisfying to work with talented colleagues so committed to this endeavor.

I believe that organizations function optimally when leaders collaborate and make decisions based on timely information and data. I’m proud of the excellent and efficient service and support our corporate accounting team provides to our owners, managers, and staff at all levels in our organization.
