This week we would like to extend our greatest appreciation to all of our GenCare employees. Their dedication, hard work, and level of care have made a significant difference in the well-being of our residents during this time. Their restructuring of activities to a one-on-one format, delivering meals to rooms, coordinating virtual or window visits with family members and so much more, have made a difference. Our employees continue to serve residents with a first-class experience, just as they did before the outbreak of this pandemic.
When we talk to our leadership teams and front-line staff in the communities, we are proud of the positivity that our employees have upheld during this time. Every day looks different in our communities, but our staff have unified quickly to keep the health & well-being of our residents #1. Many staff have expanded their roles outside of their own department and taken on many responsibilities they once did not have. Our communities have shown us the true meaning of teamwork.
Our staff has said before that residents feel like family, but during this time especially, both residents and staff can feel how much we are all in this together. As much as we think residents need our staff, we can also say that it’s the residents that are getting our staff through this tough time, too. Together we are stronger—we are #GenCareStrong.
Inside and outside of our communities we have a banner hanging, displaying the message “Heroes Work Here”. They may not be wearing capes, but our employees continue to give us all strength, hope, and vitality each and every day!
